Avocado Toast Ideas

  • Mash half a raw avocado with salt, lime and finely diced red onion.  Add on top of your favorite toast or rice cracker.

  • Mash half a raw avocado on a rice cracker with lemon, chia seeds, himalayan sea salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper.  Add sliced cherry tomatoes on top.  

  • Mash half a raw avocado with nutritional yeast, cayenne pepper, salt and black pepper.   Add on top of your favorite toast or rice cracker.

 

Quick Cooking Oats Ideas

  • Cook oats as directed on package.  Add a little bit of vegan butter, maple syrup and sliced bananas and berries on top.  Top with cinnamon.

  • Cook oats as directed on package.  Add toasted coconut and berries (and peanut butter optional).

Steel Cut Oats Ideas

  • Like quick oats but chewier!  Cook oats as directed on package.  Mix with your favorite sweetener (optional) and berries or bananas.  Great with a scoop of almond or peanut butter as well.   

Smoothie Ideas

  • Frozen bananas are a great thickening base for smoothies.  Blend one frozen banana with almond milk or water.  Add a combination of any of the following: greens like baby kale or baby spinach, peanut or almond butter, chia seeds, hemp hearts, quick cooking raw oats.

  • Blend coconut water, half a green apple, handful of baby spinach, half a lemon and half a cucumber.

  • Blend water, flax seed, frozen raspberries, 1 frozen banana, handful baby spinach, almond butter, lemon juice (taken from Dr. Oz 3 day detox)

Mestemacher Toast Ideas (Mestemacher toast is a dense, chewy, thin German bread.  It must be very toasted to taste good!)  

  • Top toasted Mestemacher bread with almond butter, sliced bananas and cinnamon

  • Top toasted Mestemacher bread with hummus, baby spinach and thinly sliced red onion
