I'm an athlete/body builder and don't know if veganism is for me?

'Vegan diets don't contain enough protein', this is probably the biggest myth about veganism out there. The vegan diet DOES include enough protein to maintain a physical lifestyle and maintain/build muscle mass. There have been countless body builders and athletes that have proven this myth wrong.

If you're looking for foods with higher levels of protein, consider including more of the following foods into your diet: 

  • Beans (including lentils and split peas)

  • Dairy free protein powder

  • Tofu

  • Seitan

  • Nuts/Seeds

  • Green Peas

  • Quinoa 

  • Buckwheat

  • Protein bars
